Orchard Corset CS411 Black Satin

Hey guys! Firstly I'd like to apologize, my computer is not running so I have to find an alternative way to get my blogs up with pictures. My last post had minimal pictures as far as an update.
This time I had to email myself the photos from my phone and individually download them. Bleh.

Any whooo, my last post I mentioned I would be getting another corset in the mail that day.
That was more or less 2 weeks ago.
I purchased the 18" Crepe Suzette 411 corset aka "Jillian" underbust style from Orchard Corset.
I paid $88.95 with shipping and used a coupon code getting me a $10 discount.
Needless to say the next day after I bought it they had a $2 shipping deal. :[
Anyway it came through the mail pretty fast. Maybe about 3 days?

I was a little skeptical about ordering from here because I had read on numerous places that Orchard Corsets sell poor quality corsets.  Then I saw a video on YouTube by ladytigerlily and thought the silhouette on her (level 3 on website) looked great! So I went ahead and bought it!
(The website claims it to give a 4-6" waist reduction which is why I went ahead and got a 18")

Out of the box. They give you a nice detailed sheet on seasoning your corset and additional information.
I thought it was nice to have a hand signed card as well. Nice touch!

Fresh out of the box. Front view laying flat.

Back view.

Laying open

First day on. Not laced tightly at all and look at the curves!
BUT...noticed the squishy modesty panel in the back. :[
The panel measures around 5". I began to hate it after a few days so I decided to take it out.
The modesty panel came out nice and easy, it was sewn onto the corset after final construction so taking it out did not affect the actual corset.
I just took apart the thread VERY CAREFULLY but I noticed they use a small strip of possibly double stick tape? Then sewn over it. There was no sticky reside left when I took it off, it remained on the panel and not the corset.

Almost 2 weeks after I purchased it without the modest panel.

When I received the corset all of the grommets were split but it did not affect the lacing.
The laces it comes with are a nylon? and very springy. After the 2 weeks the laces lost their spring (stretched out) and where the bunny ears were, remained "fat" and springy.
I have since switched the laces out with double sided satin 5/8" ribbon (about 6 yards long).
I also re-laced it with the inverted bunny ears method and am able to get a tiny bit better cinch.
This corset is shorter than my Timeless-Trends one and does not dig into my hips.
I also noticed there is a significant gap between me and the corset around my upper rib cage area. (this does not bother me)
I however am not tight lacing but wear this corset daily for around 4 hours or so.
For an off the rack corset at this price I am happy!
I'd also like to share since starting to wear corsets about a month ago I have went from 108 pounds to 103!
I am not trying to be skinny... just fit. I am now able to hold my core muscles in with minimal effort compared to before. I also am more aware of the portion sizes of my meals.
I have since ordered the CS 426 aka "Lucy" corset from Orchard Corset as well!!
(which should be in the mail this week)
I shall update you guys with another post on that corset as well!
Till then!! xoxo

  1. Why were you charged so much for shipping? Actually, why were you charged at all??? I would contact customer service. I've never paid for shipping once and my packages would arrive within 2-3 days every time when I used to order with them. Even if its been several months, they will credit you I'm sure (assuming you live in the US?). You are super tiny and corsetdeal.com has a ton of gorgeous corsets for half off in your size. You should check them out. Free shipping anywhere in the US as well. I just ordered 4 corsets from there and 2 from truecorset.com this past week. Love love love them all. And spent around $350 for all 6.
